EDUCATED COCKTAILS

Client: Agency

Location: Sopwell House

One of our favourite clients called us up and asked us how large we were. We said pardon. They then explained they were talking about how many guests we could accommodate in a cocktail masterclass. We were asked to host a masterclass for 50 guests, following dinner and teach them how to make three classic drinks.

Unbeknown to the clients delegates, we took over the bar and conservatory area at Sopwell House Hotel. Hidden by a curtain and glass windows we laid the room as quietly as we could with 50 individual stations consisting of a mat, shaker set, strainers, spoon and muddler each. We had 7 tables of 8/10 and used the raised areas so guests could see the mixologist as they made cocktails. Once the guests had finished their meal the curtain was drawn back and the surprise revealed. Greeting them all with a champagne cocktail, we invited them to take their places and proceeded to lead them through how to make a Mojito (Exquisite style), a Cosmopolitan and a Bramble. Finishing the night with a small competition, the guests seemed to have a great time.

The bigger the masterclass the better!

It went down an absolute storm! The guys were brilliant.

I am not very good at making cocktails apparently, but thoroughly enjoyed by all and all the delegates stayed and participated which was great.

Massive thank you to the mixologists.
