Marmite and Honey old fashioned
Leverage Marmites distinct and potent taste to create a mesmerising flavour.
- ¼ teaspoon of Marmite
- 3 teaspoons of honey
- 3 teaspoons of water
- 50ml of Jack Daniel’s
Method
Step 1: Add honey, Marmite and water into a mug and stir until the Marmite has dissolved.
Step 2: Add a tablespoon of this honey-Marmite solution to a glass before adding Jack Daniels and ice.
As you’ll find with a lot of these recipes, it’s essential to add the ice AFTER you’ve dissolved the Marmite or it tends to solidify and clump up, and you’ll be left with a some rather sorry looking Marmite tadpoles in your glass. Even the most limited imaginations can picture how unfortunate this might look.
